1. Intellectual Property & Fair Use Disclaimer
BracketFlow is an independent, non-commercial community analytics hub, bracket tracker, and broadcast overlay platform built by and for the Fighting Game Community (FGC).
BracketFlow is not endorsed by, directly affiliated with, maintained, authorized, or sponsored by any video game developer, publisher, or platform, including but not limited to Nintendo, Capcom, Bandai Namco, Riot Games, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Arc System Works, SNK, or Start.gg.
All character names, character art, game box art, logos, and registered trademarks displayed on BracketFlow remain the exclusive intellectual property of their respective copyright and trademark owners. They are displayed strictly for nominative identification, educational, and statistical purposes under Fair Use principles.
2. Community Support & Voluntary Donations Policy
BracketFlow is completely free to use, without advertising, paywalls, or gated content.
Any voluntary donations or contributions made by community members (via Ko-fi or Stripe) are strictly dedicated to covering server infrastructure, database hosting, real-time polling bandwidth, and technical domain costs.
Donations do not constitute a purchase of services, goods, or copyrighted materials, and do not grant access to restricted commercial features or proprietary game assets.
3. Tournament Data & Start.gg API Usage
Tournament brackets, player placements, entrant counts, and set results are retrieved from publicly available tournament listings (via Start.gg GraphQL API and community event feeds).
BracketFlow does not claim ownership of user-generated tournament statistics. If you are an organizer or player and wish to rectify inaccurate tournament data, please reach out to us.
5. Third-Party Authentication & OAuth Access (Twitch & Start.gg)
BracketFlow provides optional account login via official OAuth 2.0 protocols from Twitch Interactive, Inc. and Start.gg (Start Media LLC).
When connecting your account, BracketFlow only requests read permissions strictly necessary for user identification (such as public username, avatar URL, and platform user ID under the user.identity scope).
BracketFlow never receives, processes, or stores your account passwords, credentials, or payment details. Authentication tokens are stored securely to maintain your user session. You may revoke BracketFlow's access at any time directly through your Twitch Connections or Start.gg Authorized Applications settings.
6. Privacy Policy & Personal Data (GDPR Compliance)
We collect minimal personal data strictly necessary to provide customized tournament and overlay features. Stored data includes your platform identifiers, display names, profile avatars, and user-configured preferences (e.g., custom banners, per-game controller preferences).
We do not sell, rent, monetize, or share your personal data with any third-party advertisers or data brokers.
Website traffic analytics are tracked via a privacy-focused, cookieless, self-hosted analytics instance (Umami) that complies with GDPR guidelines and does not track users across different websites.
In accordance with applicable privacy regulations (including GDPR), you retain the right to request access to or complete deletion of your stored user profile and preferences. To request data removal, please contact us.
7. Notice and Takedown Policy (DMCA Compliance)
BracketFlow respects the intellectual property rights of all creators and game publishers. If you are a copyright owner or authorized representative and believe that any visual material or content displayed on this website infringes upon your copyright, please notify us immediately.
Upon receipt of a valid notice, BracketFlow will promptly remove or disable access to the relevant material without hesitation.
