ℹ️ How are BracketFlow Tiers Calculated? ▼

📊 Global Tier Score Ranks are assigned using standard deviations on a combined score: 60% Competitive Ceiling and 40% Carry Potential.

🏆 Competitive Ceiling Measures peak performance at the highest competitive level. It sums the prestige-weighted tournament placement points of only the top 3 players for each character (capped at 5.0 points per player to prevent one-player bias).

⚡ Carry Potential Measures how much a character compensates for player skill gaps. It tracks the win rate of the character when the player is the underdog (seeded lower than the opponent), smoothed Bayesia-wise.

🎮 Online Matchmaking (EWGF) For Tekken 8, we cross-reference tournament data with global matchmaking stats (from ewgf.gg). This helps offset start.gg's low character-logging coverage (~6.7%) and highlights the contrast between tournament and online performance.
